Countries with Display bans - Norway

Norway is the most recent country to have banned the display of tobacco products and other smoking articles. The ban entered into effect on January 1, 2010.

Since January 1, 2010, the visible display of tobacco products and smoking articles such as pipes and cigarette paper in sales outlets is banned. The ban does not apply to specialist tobacco stores but these represent a very small number across Norway. In fact, in 2009 there were only about 10 such stores.
